The Winners Circle

I was so lucky to have the privilege to see the many family photos that were entered into my Summer Contest. It was very difficult to pick the finalists – thank you so much to Kelly and the team of mom’s who offered to be my "Official Judges" – it only cost me a bottle of red wine! Gotta love that!

Through much debate they decided upon the runners up, honourable mentions and the winner.

So without further a due I would like to introduce you to the winning family.

Summer Contest and Tuesday Afternoon Ramblings

ok it is official - the contest is now closed - what a wonderful response and great stories - I have a third party picking the.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my wonderful clients and my great supporters – you have all helped achieve my dream – capturing the special moments in life. I am honoured to know each and every one of you.

I have some very fun and exciting ventures on the horizon – Beatrice and the Brooklin Project, Durham Mommies Barbeque, Sick Kids Hospital Fundraiser Barbeque (Grass Park in Brooklin) to name a few.

It is hard to believe that Christmas is just a few months away – remember – try something new – how about a beautiful Summer or Fall photo for your Christmas Card this year! I am sure Grandma and Grandpa would just love some beautiful photos of their precious angels for Christmas.

Welcome to the World!

What a week of wonderful moments – I was thankful to meet wee Mr. A. Such a cute wee peanut – a precious little angel. Thanks to Mommy and Daddy for allowing me to share your joy and capture this special time.

It is hard to believe that we only did your maternity photos a few weeks ago. Cherish this time we all know how quick they grow up.

Love, Marriage and Family

I had the extreme pleasure of photographing two wonderful and fun families this weekend – Can’t wait to see what the families think.

One couple was celebrating their 30th Anniversary and decided to commemorate this special occasion with a family photo – as they say “An anniversary is a time to celebrate the joys of today, the memories of yesterday, and the hopes of tomorrow” and what wonderful memories they have made – from a family of 3 to a family of 6! I wish you all the best of love and happiness for the next 30 years.

I also got to spend some special time with another loving family on Saturday, although it was very hot it was fun – I could see the pure love that you all have for each other – who would have thought we would be going on a wildlife adventure and even find a dinosaur!

Summer Contest

If you are anything like many other families out there you am forever saying – “lets get a family photo done” – Since I am always the one behind the camera I am embarrassed to say that we only have two photo’s of my wee family of four – one when our youngest was born (and boy does mummy look just “Beautiful”! and another taken when he was about 2 – he turned 6 on the 27th! Don’t get me wrong there are tons of photos of the boys either on their own, or with Daddy but only two with Mummy! As parents we often say – “let’s get a family photo” and most of us just simply forget or get busy with life in general and the idea of a family photo just gets pushed aside.

This brings me to the announcement for my Summer Contest – Send me in your most recent family photo and a quick paragraph outlining why you are in need of a new family photo – the top 5 will be posted on my blog and put the a vote! Winner will receive a complementary photo session and a free 8 x 10 (a combined value of over $90.00). The top five will also receive a $25.00 photo credit.

Contest closes Midnight of July 28th. Email your photo’s to heather@hmhphotography.ca . Please ensure you put Photo Contest in the Subject line.

*Entrants may be from anywhere in the Durham Region and surrounding areas up to 30 min away.

*All complimentary items are based upon receipt of a signed model release. A signed model release is required for such use, and will be needed to receive complimentary items. By entering this contest you are allowing Heather Haug of HMH Photography to post the submitted photo in a public manner on a blog, website and promotion of HMH Photography Summer Contest.

*The winner must book their session within 2 weeks of being named the winner in order to receive their complimentary session and (1) 8×10 image. The runners up must use their photo credit within 3 weeks of the results being announced.

*Complimentary session MUST be of the winning family and is NON-TRANSFERABLE.

*Any additional prints purchased are at the published standard prices. All sales are final.

It's Hannah Time

Today I was given the great pleasure to meet Miss Stephanie - what a beautiful girl - inside and out - and the voice - saying she has a voice of an angel is a pure understatement.

She is embarking on an exciting journey - performing as the one and only Hannah Montana (and a few others too) - lets just say - my son is in love!

I wish you the best of success and the Best of Both Worlds my dear.
