Cheers to 2009 - Looking Forward to 2010

What can I say 2009 has been a real roller coaster for HMH Photography. I have had the opportunity to meet so many happy faces, connect with new friends, and find old friends.

I am truly blessed to be able to make this passion into a business and I am very grateful for all the love and support that has helped me get to where I am today (I should have listened to you all sooner).

I can't wait to see what 2010 brings. Can't wait to meet many new and returning clients, beautiful brides, loving couples, joyful moms-to-be, new families, cherished families and many many more.

THANK YOU to all my wonderful clients and family.

I wish everyone a blessed 2010 and look forward to what this year may bring.

Finally I can post a peek from my session in the late fall of a very special family - (Grandma and Granpa now have their present so I can now share with everyone!)

Wishing you and your family all the best in 2010

I Can't Believe That Next Week is CHRISTMAS!

What an exciting and busy time of year for one and all - it seems like just yesterday we were in the throws of Summer Sunshine and Christmas is just next week - Serious where has the time gone?
My list to do list is almost all checked off (with the exception of wrapping - I love the person who invented gift bags!)
So much has been happening - personal and professional - where to start - I really don't know - how about we just say HMH Photography will have some very exciting and wonderful things planned for 2010.

Wow 2010 - it seems like yesterday that it was 2000 and I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of my first precious baby (we didn't know at the time we would be blessed with a wonderful blue eyed boy). On Christmas Eve at 8:41 AM our precious Logan Douglas was born, I knew at the time that my life would change but didn't really know how wonderful the changes would be - to this day I remember looking into those beautiful big blue eyes and falling so deep in love that my heart ached. And here we are 2009 and he is going to be 9 year old - next year is DOUBLE DIGITS! Am I old enough to have a 9 year old - at times i think yes at times I think no - but one thing I know is I thank God each and every day for the wonderful miracle we all love as Logie Bear! Happy Birthday Sweetheart xoxoxox

A few weeks ago I had the honour to meet up with an old friend from Highschool - how wonderful it was to meet her husband and new baby boy - I am sure you will agree he is just breathtaking. Shannon and Pat - Cherish your wee man - he is a real gift (the best present under the tree this year for sure!)

To all my loyal followers and customers - May this Holiday Season bring you much joy and love, remember a hug is the best gift that anyone could ever receive.

From our house to yours
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Love
Heather, Randy, Logan and Gavin

Busy Busy Time of the Year

Let me start by saying sorry I have been a bad bad blogger - things just seem so busy - plus we have been fighting colds and what not here at the Haug House! Don't you just love it when your kids share all that "special stuff" guess it is my own fault for always telling them to share. We also had a family wedding thrown in for good measure!

Another reason why I have neglected my blog is because my baby brother (I have two little brothers) well the youngest was deployed to Afghanistan on November 8th, my boys have been having a rough time of it but we are all keeping positive thoughts and prayers for my brother and his fellow troops.

Here is a little look at some of the happy faces that have been keeping my busy as well.

Till next time we chat,
Heather

Joy of Pregnancy - HMH PHOTOGRAPHY - MATERNITY PHOTOGRAPHY

I have to honestly say - I am content with my two boys - but the one thing I miss is being pregnant - I loved it - it has to be one of the most empowering times of a woman's life - even if i felt fat! LOL

I have been privileged to photograph this wonderful family a few times and I look forward to many more session in the future - and even better we have the Goalie Parent Bond - Ms A and Gavin are both Goalies!

Now as much as I loved being pregnant with my boys - I only wish I looked as beautiful as this breathtaking mum!

Can't wait for the newborn photo's - only a few weeks left to go!

Today I Get a Sister - it has only taken 34 years

Don't get me wrong - I love my two brothers more than anything in the world and I wouldn't trade them for all the tea in China as they say however my one wish in life was to always have a sister - how great would it have been to sit up all hours of the night talking about boys, sharing clothing, doing the girly things! My brothers are both a fair bit younger than I am so I always assumed the protector role - funny how the roles change as you get older - I am still their protector however now they are also now mine.

Today my little brother Kevin will marry Andria - Finally I will have a sister!!!!

Can't wait for the late night chats - trips to the nail salon - get ready Andria - I move fast - sometimes it is hard to keep up - but remember I will always cherish our new bond

Stay tuned for photo's

Golf Fore Hearts - HMH PHOTOGRAPHY

As many of you know I have been very fortunate to work with the wonderful ladies of Hearts of Durham http://heartsofdurham.com/.

Hearts of Durham are a group of selfless ladies, who fully believe in true community grassroots. They are a volunteer organization whose members are committed to supporting and reinvesting in the Durham community.

This year their charity of choice is Feed the Need in Durham (FTND) they are a not-for-profit organization seeking to improve the collection and distribution of food and available resources to emergency food providers in Durham Region. This effort is not meant to replace existing food programs but to supplement and provide assistance with resource collection, volunteer recruiting, marketing and to provide a collaboration of efforts to seek out new resource opportunities. FTND does not supply food directly to individuals in our community.

A few weeks back - when the sun was still our friend - Hearts of Durham hosted their first annual Golf Fore Hearts. Although it was a rainy day - the Hearts Ladies kept everyone happy and warm - resulting in yet another successful event. HMH Photography is proud to be the official photographer for Hearts of Durham. I am very excited for the upcoming events.

Playing in the Rain

When was the last time you took the time to actually play in the rain - twirl an umbrella and play princess? As a mum of two boys let me say - It has been way too long time since i took a moment to do this! It is SOOOO much fun!

This past weekend I got to meet up with a wonderful family, we played in the rain, twirled our umbrella's and played princess.

And at the end of it all- the little princesses were a little tired but at least the carriage didn't turn into a pumpkin!

Cheers

Family Joy! I HMH PHOTOGRAPHY I Durham Region, Whitby, Family, Engement, Wedding, Photographer

Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity.

On Saturday, October 17, 2009 my baby brother will be getting married! I guess the joys of their being an substantial age gap between the two of us is that I seen him grow into a wonderful kind hearted man! Who would have thought that the kid I used to drive to Karate class every Thursday would be getting married! How nice it will be to have another female in the family! Welcome to the Family Andria and Lilix.

Since I will be in the wedding party it will be a little difficult to photograph the wedding! but i would place money on the fact that my camera with be there! LOL!

Last weekend I had the great joy of doing an Engagement Session for the soon to be Mr. & Mrs. here is a sneak peek - Andrea and Kevin - check you email!

Till we chat again!
